We recommend opening and testing your jellyfish lamp immediately after purchase.

Instructions for set up:

1. Remove cap
2. Add water and a few drops of dish detergent into tank
3. Give water a good but gentle swish around the tank and then empty
4. Fill with water (distilled water is recommended) + 5 to 6 drops of dish detergent
5. Put jellyfish UPSIDE DOWN into tank, ensure there are no air bubbles at all in/on the jellyfish
6. Replace cap
7. Connect plug to wall socket and turn on

Trouble shooting:

If jellyfish are not moving well or stay at the top of the tank - check the power source, make sure there is enough dish detergent (try adding a little more at a time to the water), check all jellyfish have no air bubbles attached (this can take quite a bit of persistence).
